We watched a video in class last week about Africa. It showed lots of clips of all the cool safari animals, including the zebra. So I was wondering... is a zebra black with white stripes or white with black stripes?

Dear Curious,
Well that is a fantastic question. I am glad you asked. I have actually been on a number of African safaris in my day. On one of these particular excursions, I had a face to face encounter with a pack of wild zebras at a watering hole. Upon nearing the incredible beast, I noticed that the true color of a zebra is gray. So in response to your question, it is neither white nor black. The zebra has both white and black stripes covering its gray exterior.
